A: Automobile discharge is one of the major pollutant sources. It is the most important index in environmental
protection how to effectively control permeation amount of
fuel. For example, E I requires
FT permeation amount lighter than 20g every day, E II requires lighter than
2g every day, and E III requires lighter than 0.2 g every day.
At present,
our country pursues E II.
In order to meet the
environmental protection requirement, in the production of FT
the following technology is adopted:
¡úFTs are treated with sulfur and fluorine,
by which an layer created by chemical reaction on the surface of the FT
to isolate fuel.(Chemical method ).
¡úThe technique of multi -layer coextrusion is to extrude EVOH layer which obstructs permeation of fuel and PE layer at the same time to blowmold the multilayer products. (physical method
)
¡úNowadays, these two technology methods are main production processes of
PFTs, and both can meet the requirements of EI and E II.
